Hawaii State Capitol Rotunda
9:15am Meet in the Rotunda (Beretania Street near Damien Statue)
Adults will need a picture I.D.
Pledge, National Anthem, Hawaii Pono I, short briefing and prayer
10:00am Meet Representative Matayoshi for a short introduction to the Capitol and Legislature plus Q & A (outside of the House Chamber, street level); distribute CHOH letter and brochure for families to give to legislators
10:15am Visit your Legislators
11:15am Reconvene at Senate Chamber to be introduced by Senator Keohokalole as guests during their daily Session.
11:45am Return to House Chamber to be introduced
All Hawaii homeschool families are welcome to participate in the 2025 Hawaii Homeschool Capitol Day.
This is a wonderful opportunity to gather together to support homeschool freedom and meet your state senators and representatives.
What to do:
- Save the date on your calendar – Tuesday, January 28, 2025
- See capitol.hawaii.gov to learn the names of your state senator and representative and their office numbers. If you click on the legislator’s name, you will see his/her picture.
- Remember their faces and keep them in prayer.
- Contact your legislator and let them know that you will be visiting their office on January 28.
- Register with CHOH by emailing capitolday@christianhomeschoolersofhawaii.org by January 25
- Provide the name of your senator and representative.
- Include your name and the number of family members who will be attending.
- Pray for the Lord to be honored at Hawaii Homeschool Capitol Day.
- You are the face of homeschooling, please dress properly:
- Males – collared shirts, long pants, covered shoes
- Females – dress or long skirts or pants, sandals or covered shoes
- Metered parking in the basement of the Capitol, behind Iolani Palace and on the streets.
